Sportsmanship First League (SFL)

Some think sportsmanship is considered a sign of weakness when, in fact, it is the ultimate sign of strength.

Virtue=Strength.

Displaying “out of control good sportsmanship” and “Transforming boys and girls to Men and Women beyond the playing field” is the foundation of the SFL. Sportsmanship First League puts sportsmanship and the young athlete player first - FIRST AND FOREMOST, making sure that every player has FUN.

The SFL respects opponents by not running up the score.

Pre-game and post game gatherings, on field, with players, parents, coaches and officials to meet and greet and pray for safe competition and to encourage respectful competition.

Guaranteed playing time so that all play and have fun instead of riding the bench. Youth sports are for participation only and is “just a youth sport”, not preparation for high school, college, or the professionals.

“Transforming boys into MEN and girls into WOMEN beyond the playing field” is a goal that needs to multiply at the youth level. This is how we can save our youth and our country.

“Sportsmanship First League”, the SFL, was founded on Christian based values and virtues putting sportsmanship first ahead of “winning at any cost”. League member communities do not have to be Christian organizations.

“SportsLeader” and “Winning Youth Football” is available to every league member community and is totally optional. These values and virtues are taught by SportsLeader, a Christian faith based organization that teaches coaches how to mentor to our youth. At sixty two years of age and with over 35 years in youth football, Ron Jennings of the West Chester, Ohio founded the Stallions Youth Football organization. This is after managing and coaching a successful youth football organizations for 11 years. Was a co-founder a youth football league 35 years ago that is still in existence. Presently Ron is creating the Saints of Mason Youth Football to play in the 2011 season in the “Sportsmanship First Football League”.
